Hoping to contact the Ancients and stop a deadly energy wave hurtling toward Zatar, Jax and Xander visit the planet where Osborn first discovered her as an infant -- and where they must make a personal sacrifice.

The search for a lost race takes Jax and Xander into a space where they are plagued by disturbing nightmares born from their past trauma. Meanwhile, Jett and Zazie are determined to help Ralen after finding him spending all his time in the VR simulator.

With the arrival of the Sumi princess on Earth, Jax is tasked with retrieving important intel from her. Xander and Jett go searching for Ralen on Las Venus, where they find him participating in an intergalactic fight club.

Shot down by Sumi pirates on an Outer Rim planet, Xander, Ralen, Jett, and Greg come to the aid of a mining colony that is under the pirates' thumb. Back at the Academy, Shral asks Jax to acquire information from her mother.

Jax is shocked by the news that she is pregnant with a miracle child who may be the next Pandroa. Xander and the others go in search of evidence of Parallax's criminal activities, and meet an eccentric hauler who is transporting a mysterious cargo.

While Jax is left despondent over her missing child, Ralen locates the new Pandora -- now fully grown, an innocent girl who is being groomed by her caretaker. Xander and Jett return home, only to find a surreal version of the Earth they left behind.

After being arrested Donovan Osborn faces the ghosts of his past, as Jax searches for a way to escape her confinement. Meanwhile Xander finds himself on a distant world with Tierney -- looking to take a weapon out from under the nose of the hostile Protectors.

Jax and her friends travel to the world of the Ancients in hope of convincing them to spare the universe. Elsewhere Xander and Tierney discover that Parallax and the Zatarians are conspiring together -- with Earth and the Sumi about to go to war.
