Two generations before the birth of Superman, his grandfather Seg-El fights to redeem his family's honour and save his beloved world from chaos -- armed with a warning from the future.

With Kandor under the control of General Dru-Zod, Seg attempts to unite a dispersed group of resisters to restore hope to their beloved planet. But Zod's mission to rebuild Krypton also includes conquering the universe.
