Kamala and her mother travel to their family home in Karachi, where her grandmother believes Kamala will discover the truth she is searching for. As she seeks the mystery of her vision of a train, Kamala runs afoul of the Red Daggers.

Kamala is shocked to find herself thrown back in time to a pivotal moment in her family's history, as Aisha seeks refuge from Najma and the Clandestines.

Kamala returns home to discover that Kamran and Bruno are being hunted by Damage Control, and rallies her family and friends to try and keep them safe.
