Sci-Fi This Week: Once Upon A Time‘s Season Finale!

Find out what’s airing in science fiction and fantasy this week

Henry, Emma, and their friends are finally ready to enact “Operation Mongoose” this week in the 2-hour season finale of Once Upon A Time! As the Author forges an alliance with Mr. Gold, Henry realizes that the fate of his family rests on his own shoulders. Don’t miss the fantasy event this Sunday night.

Also this week: The Flash takes on the legendary comic book foe Gorilla Grodd, as Harrison Wells unleashes a distraction in order to put his final plan into action. Oliver Queen (or the man formerly known as) has a wedding to look forward to on this week’s Arrow, and on Game of Thrones Tyrion is going to see his first dragon.

First up, though: Tonight brings the season finale of one of this season’s biggest new genre hits, the Batman prequel series Gotham! The war for Gotham City reaches its final climax, and Fish Mooney tries to reclaim her stake.

“All Happy Families Are Alike.” As Gotham City’s gang war reaches its boiling point, Fish Mooney goes head-to-head with Maroni and Penguin in an attempt to re-stake her claim on the city. Meanwhile, Barbara and Leslie Thompkins are brought together after recent events, and Bruce searches Wayne Manor for any hints that his father might have left behind.
TUESDAY
The Flash (121) - Grodd LivesTHE FLASH
The CW, 8/7c
“Grodd Lives.” Barry must deal with the Reverse Flash’s latest threat to a member of the group. To make matter worse, Dr. Wells unleashes Grodd on the city in order to distract Barry and the team. Joe, Barry, and Cisco head down into the sewers to catch Grodd but the gorilla quickly gets the upper hand after he kidnaps Joe.
Agents of SHIELD (220) - ScarsAGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.
ABC, 9/8c
“Scars.” Skye is torn between her loyalty to S.H.I.E.L.D. and her connection to the Inhumans as tensions rise between the groups; and Coulson reveals a secret he’s been hiding from even those closest to him.
WEDNESDAY
Arrow (322) - This Is Your SwordARROW
The CW, 8/7c
“This Is Your Sword.” Oliver / Al Sah-him finishes his training and is left with two final tasks to become the next Ra’s al Ghul. Ra’s threatens Nyssa and delivers some shocking news. Meanwhile, Malcolm makes a surprising offer to Team Arrow and Thea goes to see Roy.
FRIDAY
Grimm (421) - HeadacheGRIMM
NBC, 8/7c
“Headache.” While investigating a grisly murder, Nick and Hank get closer to uncovering the identity of the serial killer while Wu’s life is put in grave danger. Having turned down Monroe and Rosalee’s offer, Juliette solidifies a new alliance as she works to get her revenge. Elsewhere, Trubel makes a surprising return to Portland.

LOST GIRL and BITTEN are now airing Fridays on Syfy Channel.

SATURDAY
Orphan Black (304) - Newer Elements of Our DefenseORPHAN BLACK

“Newer Elements of Our Defense.” Mark is taken down in a Prolethean shoot-out and Sarah must step in to help. But as Sarah gathers intel that puts her on the trail of the original Castor DNA, a familiar foe is not far behind. While Helena continues to toil in a faraway military compound, it is ultimately Sarah’s fate that will hang in the balance as she tries to save her sister. Meanwhile, Gracie is cast out from the Prolethean fold, and Alison and Donnie come face-to-face with unhappy drug lord, Jason Kellerman.

“Operation Mongoose.” The Author proves to be a formidable wild card and forges an alliance with Gold. Emma, her parents, Hook and Regina scramble to stop them, but when Gold and the Author turn the tables on heroes and villains alike, the prospect of any happy outcome appears worlds away. Henry discovers he has big shoes to fill as he steps up to save his family before the story’s final page is turned.
