The frightened and confused Queen Elsa arrives in Storybrooke and creates a powerful snow monster for protection. Meanwhile Regina plots against Marian, and Mr. Gold begins his new life with Bell with a lie. In Arendelle of the past Elsa and her sister Anna discover the truth behind their parents' disappearance.

Emma is trapped in an ice cave with Elsa, who confesses that she cannot always control her powerful magic, while elsewhere Mary Margaret faces her first leadership challenge. David discovers that the lost sister Elsa is searching for is someone he met long ago, while trying to protect his family farm from the cruel Bo Peep.

Suspicions fall on Elsa after Marian falls victim to a freezing spell, but Hook and Emma soon discover that someone else in Storybrooke shares her icy magic. In Arendelle of the past, Kristoff learns of the existence of an urn that Elsa's enemies plan to use to capture her and seize the kingdom.

Henry and Mary Margaret try to offer hope to Regina when she becomes frustrated over not being able to find a cure to save a frozen Marian, and Will Scarlet attempts to break into the Storybrooke library to find a special book. Meanwhile, back in the Fairy Tale Land that was, Rumplestiltskin is after a magical box that the Sorcerer's apprentice is guarding, and he may use Elsa's sister Anna to help him get it. (ABC)

Regina reluctantly teams up with Emma to search for the Snow Queen after Sidney, who is once again Regina's prisoner in the mirror, discovers her whereabouts and agrees to lead her to the location. With Belle babysitting baby Neal, a nervous Mary Margaret and David prepare for their first date night away from their child and find themselves on a mission to track down Will Scarlet, who has escaped from the town jail, and Elsa sees Anna in the Storybrooke woods. Regina and Robin Hood's relationship grows increasingly complex as they struggle to find a way to save his dying wife, and Henry begins his after school job in Gold's shop while trying to help Regina find a clue to the identity of the author of the storybook. As the Spell of Shattered Sight approaches Storybrooke, Mary Margaret and David rally the residents to prepare for the curse while Belle and the fairies work together on an antidote. With the help of a locator spell, Emma and Elsa search desperately for Anna. In Arendelle, Anna and Kristoff awaken to find that their kingdom is once again in danger. (ABC)
