Sci-Fi This Week: The Joker Comes To Gotham?

Find out what’s airing in science fiction and fantasy this week.

Since the premise for FOX’s Batman prequel was first announced way back when, fans have been waiting for a moment that looks like this one: Is the Joker coming to Gotham this week?

Cameron Monaghan (Shameless) will play a character named Jerome, who show creator Bruno Heller hints may or may not end up being the iconic Batman villain. The FOX promo spot for this week’s episode teases that Gotham’s newest villain “is no joke.”

“All I can promise is that’s not a bait and switch,” Heller told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s a long game we’re playing here. … What I can guarantee is that you have to follow that brilliant young actor Cameron Monaghan down the line, and you will see how this leads to the character we all know and love.”

Check out the teaser spot below, followed by the rest of this week’s sci-fi and fantasy line-up!
