Top Shows on SciFi Stream This Month!

Here’s a little statistical info for the curious: the top shows on SciFi Stream for February (so far), measured by traffic to our show-specific sub-sites.  Of course we don’t have dedicated sites for every genre show that is airing right now (Supernatural is a particularly egregious omission), but we do have a lot — 36 shows and counting!

See this month’s Top 10 list after the jump …

1. Battlestar Galactica
2. Smallville
3. Sanctuary
4. Doctor Who
5. Fringe
6. V
7. Star Trek (Main Site)
8. Star Trek: TNG
9. Babylon 5
10. Star Trek:  DS9

When we originally launched our Battlestar Galactica sub-site back in the show’s first season it was a part of GateWorld, and we did some original news coverage that got it a good boost in traffic.  Ever since then it’s always been our #1 show in terms of traffic, even these years after the show ended!

It’s a very strong showing for other shows that aren’t airing new episodes right now (Sanctuary and Doctor Who), and for classics that finished their runs years ago (TNG, DS9, and B5).  But congrats go out to Smallville, the top-viewed show that is currently airing!

Back again next month.  I’m really curious to see how these standings shift as those shows running new episodes come and go.  V will finish up its season next month.  Stargate Universe is returning in March (though we don’t have a dedicated sub-site for it — our Stargate site links over to sister site GateWorld), and Doctor Who should be along for its sixth series sometime this spring.
