After reuniting with Huck the group and their new friends make plans to find a Republic fuel cache to support their mission. Meanwhile Huck reflects on her past as a military officer at the outbreak of the apocalypse.

After a bloody confrontation the group debates whether they can continue onward with Silas, who may not be able to control his violent temper – as Silas is forced to reckon with the memory of his past actions.

The group continues on the road to New York, unaware that someone close to them is in league with the Civil Republic. Meanwhile Elton catches up with Percy, and Felix remembers a personal loss.

As Elton and Silas are reunited, as Iris and Felix get back on the road – and Hope determines to confront Huck. In New York, Leo's new love interest considers telling him a difficult truth.
