As Admiral Picard wrestles with changing relationships, Captain Rios and the U.S.S. Stargazer encounter a massive tear in space – and a disturbing call for help.

After a visit from Q, Picard must confront a reality transformed into a dystopian nightmare, where he has led Earth in a long and bloody campaign to conquer the galaxy – and where the Confederation is preparing to eradicate the last survivor of the Borg.

The crew of La Sirena engages in a dangerous gambit to travel back in time to the year 2024, where Raffi, Seven, and Rios go in search of the "Watcher" – while Agnes attempts to penetrate the mind of the Borg Queen.

To save the future from being forever altered, Picard goes in search of the Watcher – only to find an old friend. Meanwhile Seven and Raffi try to track down Rios, who has run afoul of the law.

Jean-Luc discovers that Q has targeted one of his ancestors, who is on the precipice of a fateful mission to space. Meanwhile a desperate geneticist struggles to save his daughter, and the Borg Queen's actions force Jurati into a life-and-death decision.

Picard, Tallinn, and the others infiltrate a gala event to try and protect an astronaut who is key to repairing the timeline. While Agnes continues to struggle with the Borg Queen, Jean-Luc meets Q's newest ally.

An unconscious Jean-Luc is forced to grapple with the demons of his childhood, while Tallinn enters his subconscious mind to try and help guide him out. While Raffi and Seven search for Jurati, Rios makes a fateful decision.

While Picard and Guinan are interrogated by the authorities, Rios entertains his new friends. Seven and Raffi wrestle with their personal issues while tracking the Queen, and Kore finds unexpected answers.

The crew rushes to try and defend La Sirena from the Borg Queen, while Jurati fights back for control of her body. While hiding from Adam Soong inside Chateau Picard, Jean-Luc is forced to confront the truth about his childhood demons.

As the Europa astronauts prepare for launch, Tallinn acts to ensure Renée Picard's future. Jean-Luc discovers Q's real intentions, and the part his crew has to play in saving the future.
