It’s the biggest hit in three years for The CW, so this news comes as no surprise: Arrow has been given a full-season order.

The series premiered to 4.14 million people (Live + Same Day) earlier this month, with a 1.3 rating for the 18 to 49 demographic (story). The show dropped to 3.55 million (down 14 percent) for episode two and 3.51 million for episode three.

A full-season pick-up means that The CW is asking producers for the “back nine” — another nine episodes on top of the original 13-episode deal. Season One will be comprised of 22 episodes, stretching to next spring.
