12 Monkeys‘ Emily Hampshire Promoted To Regular

Look for more of Jennifer Goines next year

With its second season now a lock, 12 Monkeys is expanding its roster.

The show has promoted actress Emily Hampshire to a regular cast member, following her stand-out role as a recurring guest star through Season One. She plays Jennifer Goines, a mental patient with a mysterious link to the Army of the Twelve Monkeys — believed to be responsible for the plague that will decimate the human race.

Goines is the TV series’ version of the character played by Brad Pitt in the 1995 film.

Hampshire joins series co-stars Aaron Stanford (James Cole), Amanda Schull (Cassandra Railly), Barbara Sukowa (Katrina Jones), and Kirk Acevedo (Ramse).

Season Two of 12 Monkeys will air in 2016. Meanwhile, new episodes of the first season air Fridays at 9/8c on Syfy Channle.
