Fringe‘s John Noble Will Visit Sleepy Hollow

The actor will play a reclusive man with supernatural powers.

Sleepy Hollow is about to get a house call from Dr. Walter Bishop himself — or at least the actor who played the eccentric scientist on FOX’s Fringe.

Actor John Noble has been cast in a recurring role on the new series, FOX announced today. He’ll play Henry Parrish, “a kind and reclusive man who possesses supernatural powers that have the potential to help the series’ protagonist, Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison).”

Noble is also known worldwide for his role as Denethor, Steward of Gondor, in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Sleepy Hollow opened this past Monday to 10.1 million viewers, which FOX says is its highest-rated drama premiere in seven years.  A new episode, “Blood Moon,” airs next Monday at 9/8c.  Watch for Noble’s first appearance later this season.
