Sleepy Hollow Debuts To Big Ratings

It’s FOX’s biggest scripted drama premiere in six years.

It’s Tuesday morning champagne for FOX, which went big with its promotional push for Sleepy Hollow — and scored a big audience.

The new fantasy drama debuted last night to an estimated 10.1 million people (Live + Same Day), the biggest broadcast drama premiere since NBC’s Revolution last fall, and FOX’s best since 2007’s K-Ville, according to TVbytheNumbers.

On the broadcast networks only ABC’s season premiere of Dancing with the Stars (16.19 million) and CBS’s finale of its summer blockbuster Under the Dome (11.84 million) drew more viewers.

The Sleepy Hollow premiere led the way in the Adults 18-49 demographic, with a 3.4 rating.  In that demo, the show was tops for the night.

The premiere also did well in social media, with both “Sleepy Hollow” and the #sleepyhollow hashtag trending nationwide.

The show followed the season premiere of Bones, which drew 7.53 million.

See all the numbers for Monday night at TVbytheNumbers, and stick with SciFi Stream for on-going coverage of Sleepy Hollow!  A new episode airs next Monday at 9/8c.

Meanwhile, here’s the season preview that aired at the end of last night’s episode:
