Syfy Sends Angel Warfare Pilot Dominion To Series

The new show is based on the 2010 feature film Legion.

Syfy Channel has given the go-ahead to the fantasy series Dominion, based on the 2010 feature film Legion.

The series is set 25 years in the future, where a war between humankind and an army of angels has transformed the planet. The hero of the story is Alex Lannen (Christopher Egan), a rebellious young soldier who learns that he is the unlikely savior of humanity.

Rounding out the impressive cast are Anthony Stewart Head (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Merlin), Alan Dale (LOST), Roxanne McKee (Game of Thrones), Tom Wisdom (300), and Luke Allen-Gale (The Borgias).

The series comes from Scott Stewart, who co-wrote and directed the film. The pilot was shot in South Africa earlier this fall. The show will also be filmed there, and will bow on Syfy in 2014.
