Teen Wolf Renewed, Gets Companion Talk Show

The 30-minute companion show Wolf Watch starts January 6.

MTV came to this week’s New York Comic Con armed with a pair of big announcements for fans of its original scripted monster drama Teen Wolf.

First, the show has been renewed for a 12-episode fourth season, to air in 2014.

Second, Teen Wolf will now be followed by Wolf Watch, a half-hour companion series in the vein of AMC’s successful Talking Dead.  Hosted by Wipeout‘s Jill Wagner (Stargate Atlantis fans, you’ll recognize her as Larrin, leader of the Travelers), the show will feature chat about Teen Wolf‘s series mythology, behind-the-scenes info, and appearances by cast members and “super-fans.”

Wolf Watch starts January 6, immediately following the premiere of the back half of Teen Wolf Season Three (10/9c).  Season Four is expected to air in the summertime.

Teen Wolf stars Tyler Posey as Scott McCall, member of a small-town pack of werewolves.
