Atlantis Episode 4 Synopsis: ‘Twist of Fate’

Game of Thrones‘ Donald Sumpter guest stars in the October 19 episode.

Atlantis is officially a hit for BBC One, and today we have the title and plot description for the show’s upcoming fourth episode.

“Twist of Fate” will air October 19 in the U.K. — at the slightly earlier start time of 8:20 p.m.

The episode will guest star Donald Sumpter, who plays Maester Luwin on Game of Thrones. Sumpter plays a character named Tiresias, who in Greek mythology is a blind soothsayer.

Whilst hunting in the mountains, the boys stumble across an abandoned baby. Jason refuses to leave the child to die and insists he return home with them to Atlantis. But this charitable act has far-reaching implications, and the gang soon find themselves embroiled in a complicated web of secrets and lies. With their own lives now on the line as well as the child’s, it seems they may well pay the ultimate price for interfering with fate.

“Twist of Fate” was written by Richard McBrien (Merlin) and directed by Alice Troughton.

But before that airs, tune in this Saturday night for the show’s third episode, recently retitled “A Boy of No Consequence” (originally listed as “The Boy Must Die”). Find out more about that in our Atlantis series guide!
