The cable network has put another science fiction series into development, continuing its partnership with legendary producer Steven Spielberg.

Portal House is the story of a group of young scientists who investigate a supposedly haunted house, and find a fantastic mystery inside. Instead of ghosts and ghouls they stumble upon a portal into the time-space continuum.  And things go from bad to worse when one of their own goes missing into the portal.

Joining Spielberg as producers are Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank, Scott Rosenberg, Jeff Pinkner, Josh Appelbaum, and Andre Nemec.  The final four of those are also listed as writers.

Portal House is being developed for TNT by Amblin Television.  It would make a potential companion for Falling Skies, which is heading into its third season on TNT next month (Sunday, June 9) and is also produced by Spielberg.

There is no pilot order yet, so there’s no guarantee that this one will make it all the way to broadcast.  Stay tuned to SciFi Stream for updates!
