The Dark One Cries In New Once Upon A Time Teaser

The balance of power will shift dramatically when Rumpelstiltskin arrives in the magical Neverland.
This week ABC released a 3-minute sneak peek from “The Heart of the Truest Believer,” the season premiere of Once Upon A Time. It features the shadowy first encounter between Rumple (a.k.a. Mr. Gold, played by Robert Carlyle) and one of the Lost Boys (Felix, played by Parker Croft) — who speaks enigmatically about Once‘s very dangerous version of Peter Pan.
And he’s got the Dark One’s number.
What’s even more interesting about the scene is the realization that this is no flashback, but the same “Mr. Gold” who has been living in Storybrooke, Maine for nearly 30 years (mostly without magic). Going back to playing the part of the threatening and conniving Rumpelstiltskin looks like it’ll be a real stretch for him.
And does the Dark One have all his terrifying powers back once he reaches Neverland … or is he kind of bluffing?
Once Upon A Time begins its third season Sunday, September 29 at 8/7c on ABC!
