Set 30 years in the future, Defiance is set on an Earth that had been transformed by an intergalactic war. Now various species live together with humans in the frontier town of Defiance (old St. Louis).
The show stars Grant Bowler as Chief Lawkeeper Jeb Nolan, Julie Benz as Amanda Rosewater, Stephanie Leonidas as Irisa, Tony Curran as Datak Tarr, Jaime Murray as Stahma Tarr, Graham Greene as Rafe McCawley, Mia Kirshner as the town madam, Kenya, and Fionnula Flanagan as Nicky. It is currently filming in Toronto.
Recurring actors include Brittany Allen as Tirra, a troubled employee of Kenya, and Dion Johnstone as Nizar (story).
Defiance will premiere in April both on Syfy and as an MMO-RPG from Trion Worlds.
