Patrick Heusinger Cast In NBC’s Sci-Fi Pilot Tin Man

The actor appeared earlier this season on Revolution.

Actor Patrick Heusinger has been tapped for the lead role in the NBC pilot Tin Man, in which he will play an android accused of murder.

Described as a “psychological thriller,” Tin Man is the story of Adam, a robot “accused of first-degree murder, who may hold the key to the future of human evolution, and the young female public defender forced to fight for his cause,” according to Deadline. “Adam, a robotic valet, became a murder suspect after his builder and master was found stabbed to death.”

Heusinger has a long list of television credits, most recently appearing as “Adam” in the first few episodes of Revolution‘s second season. It’s that role that reportedly brought the actor to the attention of NBC executives.

He has also made appearances on Royal Pains, Gossip Girl, Castle, and Bones.

The Tin Man pilot was written by Ehren Kruger and will be directed by D.J. Caruso.

Heusinger actually played another android servant in a near-future series two years ago: NBC’s Beautiful People, which did not go to series.

Ummm….Adam Link by Eando Binder? Or I, Robot from the original or remake of The Outer Limits (which was based on Binder’s book).
