It’s just a one-minute teaser for the sequel to 2009’s Star Trek, starring Chris Pine as James T. Kirk and Zachary Quinto as Spock. The full-length trailer for Star Trek: Into Darkness hits theaters later this month with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

Paramount has also released the first official movie poster, showing lead villain Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) standing amidst the aftermath of what looks to be a devastating attack on Earth.

Star Trek: Into Darkness opens in theaters in 2D, 3D, and IMAX on May 17, 2013.
