Atlantis Episode Synopsis: ‘The Boy Must Die’

Jason and his friends find themselves at the mercy of King Minos.

Fantasy fans in the United Kingdom are already enjoying the new series Atlantis, which starts November 23 on BBC America here in the States. Coming up this Saturday is the third episode, titled “The Boy Must Die.”

Here’s the official synopsis (courtesy of Radio Times) — watch out for spoilers below!

An argument with a young nobleman leaves Jason and his friends at the mercy of King Minos, who declares they become bull-leapers — a virtually impossible crowd-pleasing sport in which they have to jump over a charging beast. The trio are forced to pull together if they are to overcome this ultimate test of bravery — but unknown to them, there is a dark force turning the gods against them.

“The Boy Must Die” will air this Saturday at 8:25 p.m. on BBC One in the U.K.

Atlantis is off to a great start on the BBC. The first episode of the richly-textured family fantasy drama drew 5.8 million people. That compares to the 9.2 million people who tuned in to Strictly Come Dancing, and 7.8 million for The X Factor.
