Watch The First Trailer For Syfy And SPACE’s Killjoys!
The new series starts June 12
We’ve been excited to see just what kind of show Killjoys is going to be ever since the show was announced way back in 2013. Today’s the day, thanks to the first trailer for the series from Syfy Channel and Canada’s SPACE network.
It looks pretty cool — sort of like Firefly with more sex and less humor. Check it out below.
Killjoys stars Hannah John-Kamen, Aaron Ashmore, and Luke Macfarlane as a team of skilled interstellar bounty hunters, willing to go anywhere to find their targets and fulfill their employer’s contract. In a distant planetary system that stands on the brink of class war, top-level Killjoy Dutch (John-Kamen) leads a group of soldiers who live by a single code: “The warrant is all.”
The show hails from creator Michelle Lovretta (Lost Girl) and Temple Street Productions, the team behind BBC America’s clone conspiracy Orphan Black.
The series will premiere both in the U.S. and Canada on Friday, June 19 (9/8c). It will serve as the lead-in for fellow newcomer Dark Matter, which debuts one week earlier in the 10 p.m. spot. Stay tuned to SciFi Stream for more!
