The new sci-fi show starts July 9 on CBS
CBS is getting into the science fiction game (finally), and its summer series :Extant: is at the top of our must-watch list for the months ahead. We’re had short glimpses here and there, but now the network has released the first full-length trailer for the new series.
Extant stars Halle Berry as Molly Woods, an astronaut who returns to earth after a 13-month solo mission on an orbital space station. As she adjusts to life back at home with her family — a husband and their young son Ethan, who is also a cutting-edge artificial life form — Molly makes an impossible discovery that has profound implications for the future of humankind.
Goran Visnjic co-stars as Molly’s husband and the roboticist who developed their child, and Camryn Manheim plays Molly’s doctor and close friend, Sam.
