More than 200 years after his death following a Revolutionary War battle, Ichabod Crane reawakens to a modern day Sleepy Hollow and joins forces with the local sheriff to try and stop the murderous Headless Horseman.

A vision of his wife Katrina convinces Ichabod that his next supernatural foe will be a resurrected witch. Meanwhile, Andy returns from the dead with his own dark mission.

Abbie seeks out her institutionalized sister after another agent of evil, the Sandman, begins to plague the dreams of the residents of Sleepy Hollow -- soon turning his gaze upon Abbie herself.

Abbie and Crane search for her sister Jenny after she escapes from a psychiatric hospital -- not knowing that she is also being pursued by a group of Hessians intent on opening a doorway for their demon master.

Abbie and Crane search for the home of an unidentified boy who has turned up in Sleepy Hollow, bringing with him an unknown disease that begins to infect others.

After Ichabod is abducted Abbie receives a vision with a warning from Katrina, sending her to find a man capable of severing Crane's blood tie to the Headless Horseman. Meanwhile, Ichabod is forced to recall the part he played in the death of an innocent man while serving the British crown.

When the Horseman returns to Sleepy Hollow, Abby and Crane decide to destroy his head in an attempt to stop him -- but must decode an ancient secret to learn how. Meanwhile, Andy Brooks pays Abby a surprise visit.

With a rare opportunity to interrogate their enemy, Ichabod and Abby turn to Andy Brooks for help. Meanwhile, Captain Irving and Jenny Mills are the only ones standing in the way of those who seek to free the Horseman.

A missing persons case leads Abbie and Crane to a haunted house, where Crane recalls he and his wife Katrina once found sanctuary with members of her coven. But when a long-dormant evil resurfaces, Ichabod makes a shocking discovery about his family.

Ichabod enlists the help of Henry Parrish to communicate with Katrina and learn more about his family, but his search for the truth unwittingly releases a new danger in Sleepy Hollow.

Captain Irving pleads with Crane and Abbie for help when his daughter becomes the target of evil forces, and seeks the answers that lie within Washington's Bible. Meanwhile, Abbie learns a dark secret about her sister's past.

With a new clue from Washington's Bible Crane and Abbie call upon Mr. Parish for his help in determining the Founding Father's plan to return from the dead. Andy pays Abbie a personal visit, and Captain Irving finds himself in the middle of a murder investigation.

When Henry Parish brings a warning that the Second Horseman of the Apocalypse is coming to Sleepy Hollow, Abbie and Crane look for a way to open the gates of Purgatory to retrieve the only person who can stop War: Katrina Crane.
