Syfy has moved up the return of the Battlestar Galactica prequel; Sanctuary to remain on Fridays.

Fans joined the Sanctuary cast last weekend to raise money for the Sanctuary for Kids charity.

We told you back in December that Syfy had picked up Sanctuary for a third season with a 20-episode order that would begin airing in the fall, so you've probably been wondering when the cast and crew would start shooting that third season. The answer is—now!

Magnus and Will investigate the disappearances of teenagers with links to them spending time at a rehab clinic in Mexico. Magnus and Will are shocked to see Nikola Tesla as the program director. Tesla reveals the treatment he has been using on the teens for their addictions. Tesla eventually his true motive of turning his patients into Vampires.

We've got an exclusive sneak-peek clip from this Friday's episode of Syfy's Sanctuary, featuring the reunion of former Stargate SG-1 co-stars Michael Shanks and Amanda Tapping.  In the episode, entitled "Penance," Magnus (Tapping) faces a local gang lord and learns about Kate's (Agam Darshi) past. Shanks plays an old friend of Magnus' with an odd abdominal condition.

Some familiar sci-fi TV faces will show up on the new Web series Riese, including Smallville's Allison Mack, Battlestar Galactica's Allessandro Juliani and Sanctuary's Emilie Ullerup.

Tonight's new episode of Syfy's Sanctuary kicks off a December of increasing action that culminates with a Stargate SG-1 reunion when Michael Shanks guest-stars with Amanda Tapping. But first, tonight's episode puts Tapping's Helen Magnus and Robin Dunne's Will Zimmerman in peril again when executive producers Damian Kindler and Martin Wood make use of a prop they found in a storage area.

Amanda Tapping in association with Jill Bodie and Damine Kindler have launched the charity for kids named Sanctuary For Kids.
