SFOTV: ‘Legend Of The Seeker’
Over a decade ago, the best place to find science-fiction/fantasy genre series was in first-run syndication. For those not familiar with the concept, syndication is the sale of television shows to individual television stations across the country. First-run syndication is just that, brand new shows seen on individual stations first, instead of on a network. With the proliferation of netlets like UPN and The WB more than a decade ago, and their inheritor, The CW, as well as the expansion of cable networks into original programming, the first-run syndication market dried up, simply because there weren’t many stations looking for programming.
