Scott also talked about the future of Jericho, the canceled post-apocalyptic CBS show in which she played Emily Sullivan opposite Skeet Ulrich's Jake Green.

"As long as I know that I went in there and did the best job I could and respected and honored the character I was gifted with, I can walk away feeling fulfilled and very happy about the experience," Scott said in an exclusive interview last week in Los Angeles. "I'm so new, still, and I'm learning something new every time I go on an audition or go do a job, whether it's [for] Spielberg or Renny [Harlin] or whoever."

In 12 Rounds, Scott plays Molly Porter, the wife of a detective (John Cena) who gets kidnapped by an ex-convict (Aidan Gillen), who blames him for the death of a loved one.

He added: "We've ... been developing a feature to hopefully make, because we would love to. I mean, ... Jericho is so built in a way, ... especially where we left off season two, to create a feature. So our hope is to launch this comic-book series and then with the development at the same time of the feature, hopefully get that launched as well."

Jon Turteltaub, one of the executive producers of CBS' defunct Jericho, told iF Magazine that he and his partners are developing a feature-film version of the post-apocalyptic series.

"We're developing a feature for Jericho," Turteltaub told the magazine. "It would not require you to have seen the TV show, but it get into life after an event like this on a national scale. It would be the bigger, full on American version of what's going on beyond the town in Jericho."

Jericho starred Skeet Ulrich and Ashley Scott and told the story of the survivors in a small Kansas town of a nuclear attack on the United States. Canceled by CBS after a lackluster first season, the show came back for a short second season after the network acceded to a massive fan campaign—involving the mailing of tons of peanuts. When the ratings failed to improve, the show ended with a series finale that wrapped up the storyline.

Turteltaub, who also directed many of the series' episodes, added that he hopes to get the cast back. "Oh yeah!" he said. And would it be a huge budget? "Anything would be a huge budget compared to what we were dealing with," he said. "If we had $40 million dollars to make a movie with, that's 20 times more than we did before."

Almost a year after its second cancellation, “Jericho” aims to say nuts to the television industry by making the colossal jump to the world of movies. Speaking with IF Magazine, executive producer Jon Turtletaub confirmed that a movie for the post-apocalyptic drama is currently in the works that will go beyond the small Kansas town, endeavoring to explore the rest of American society following their bombardment. It’s not clear if any of the “Jericho” cast will be back for the project should it go ahead, although it would undoubtedly include a few nods to the previous events of the series. “We’re developing a feature for ‘Jericho,’” Turteltaub told the magazine. “It would not require you to have seen the TV show, but it get into life after an event like this on a national scale. The two shows topped a list of 13 programs tracked through Fast National ratings from Nielsen Media Research over the 2007-08 season, showing they maintained the strongest audiences in terms of mobility. "Jericho" had a stability index rating of 92.9, according to SyFy Portal, while "Moonlight" had a stability index rating of 87.9. The numbers, which show the amount of audience retained based on the show's highest overnight rating versus its average, is meant to give a snapshot look of how much audience on average a show retained throughout the course of the season. This time, it won't be a town in the midwestern United States that will be the center of attention. James Siminoff, a self-described entrepreneur and "Jericho" fan, says he is trying to put together a project that would raise money from "Jericho" fans in an effort to fund a third season of the twice-cancelled CBS series. In a post on his blog, which also was included as an e-mail response to questions about the project from SyFy Portal, Simanoff plans on collecting pledges from "Jericho" fans and asking them to directly contribute to future episodes of the show. "I am a serial entrepreneur," Siminoff said. "When rumors began of the cancellation of 'Jericho' for a second time, it sparked a business model that asked the question, 'Why wouldn't networks and studios create a donor-based ...

Jericho Rangers have raised more than $6,000 to purchase television advertising in the Los Angeles area as a way to generate some new buzz on the show that had an abbreviated run last year as producers continue to try and find a network or cable company interested in keeping the story of a Kansas town following a nuclear attack alive. The ad was produced by a fan known as "RubberPoultry" and began airing Thursday in a 10-day run on Time Warner cable in the Los Angeles area that is expected to be included in such shows as "Ghost Hunters" on SciFi Channel, "Deadliest Catch" on Discovery Channel, and other programs on the History ...

I wish I could take credit for that line, but instead, the attribution there has to go to Dr. Dan Compora, one of SyFy Portal's popular columnists who writes SyFy 101 with Dr. Dan, when he was on last Wednesday's SyFy Radio. The two of us were talking about the possible return of "Jericho" once again, this time through what could be a deal between CBS and Comcast to share production costs, and thus distribution rights at the same time. On the surface, it is very exciting because I don't think anyone has gone through more ups and downs over the past couple years than "Jericho" fans, and they really deserve something good. It's also a deal not too dissimilar to one that DirecTV recently struck with NBC over "Friday Night Lights" that is bringing ...

"Jericho" fans lost their show ... at least for now ... but will fans of "Moonlight" have to suffer through a similar fate? Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment, says both of its genre shows are on two different paths. "One thing 'Moonlight' has going for it is it wins its time period," Tassler told The Hollywood Reporter. "Unlike 'Jericho,' 'Moonlight' is not serialized." The question came up as fans wondered if CBS would continue to give series that might not be getting the strongest ratings a chance to continue. The network had revived "Jericho" after canceling it at the end of the 2006-07 season, but then canceled the show against last month when viewership levels dropped below its previous lows. "Moonlight" made the schedule as a presentation rather than a production ...

"Jericho" has "more lives than Lazarus." I wish I could take credit for that line, but instead, the attribution there has to go to Dr.

It worked for DirecTV and NBC when it came to "Friday Night Lights," why not between CBS and Comcast for "Jericho"? Although nothing is set in stone, it appears that Comcast is interested in putting together a production deal that could keep the fan-favorite "Jericho" on for a third season by footing some of the bill, at least that's what The New York Times is reporting. Such a deal, if it were to happen (and that's a big "if"), likely would focus on Comcast paying part of the show's production cost in return for its right to air the show to its subscribers first. After that, it would air on the network. That is, if they follow a similar model to how DirecTV and NBC are producing 13 episodes of "Friday Night Lights." Don't get too excited yet. Such discussions are still in very ...
