Jason Priestley, currently starring as a morally bankrupt used car salesman in the TV series Call Me Fitz, has signed on for the second season of Syfy’s Haven, both as an actor in a four-episode story arc AND as a director.

Looks like we’ll be heading back to the small—and strange—town of Haven again, and FBI agent Audrey Parker (played by Emily Rose) will have plenty of time to explore its secrets. Because Syfy just renewed the series for a second season.

Syfy announced its summer schedule today, including a bunch of new series and the return of some fan favorites, as well as a slate of awesome Saturday night movies.

Stephen King’s novella “The Colorado Kid” is coming to Syfy as Haven, and its leading lady, Emily Rose, recently spilled some beans about the show, which will premiere in July.

Syfy announced the casting of Lucas Bryant (Dollhouse) and Eric Balfour (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 24, Six Feet Under) in its new drama series Haven, based on Stephen King’s novella “The Colorado Kid.”
