Apparently writing novels is more fun than running a TV show for David S. Goyer. The FlashForward executive producer who dropped out as the series' show runner has embraced another calling. Goyer and TV writer/author Michael Cassutt have signed a three-book deal with Penguin's imprint, Ace Books, to write a sci-fi adventure trilogy, including Heaven's Shadow, Heaven's War and Heaven's Fall, according to Variety.

Things didn't look good for FlashForward last week, when it was announced that co-creator and executive producer David Goyer was exiting as show runner just months after he took over. But now, according to Variety, there's some upbeat news for the beleaguered show.

You don't have to have a FlashForward to know this can't be good news, but the ABC series is facing yet another new show runner in its future. Co-creator and executive producer David Goyer is exiting as show runner of the sci-fi thriller just months after he took over for former show runner Mark Guggenheim, according to The Hollywood Reporter's Live Feed.

ABC announced yesterday that FlashForward's March return will be delayed two weeks, and we caught up with series co-creator David Goyer later that day to find out what it all means.  The quick answers are: They won't cut the number of episodes, but the episode that was slated to air on April 29—the date foretold in the characters' flash-forwards—might not fall on that date anymore.

ABC is delaying the return of new episodes of its sci-fi series FlashForward by two weeks: It now returns March 18 in its Thursday 8 p.m. ET/PT timeslot rather than the original March 4.

According to an Entertainment Weekly interview with David S. Goyer, Flash Forward isn’t coming back until March 2010! Previously it was reported that the show will come back in January with remaining 13 episodes for the season, but now it’s postponed until March. Previous, 10th Episode, called ‘A561984′ has aired on December 3, 2009.
