Jesse Alexander has returned to NBC after his unceremoniously dumping from the “Heroes” creative team. NBC has given a green light to “Day One,” Alexander’s post-apocalyptic look at life following a catastrophic global event that wipes out the world’s infrastructure, Variety said. The network ordered a pilot for “Day One” last January, and apparently liked what they saw, bringing Alexander — who also worked with J.J. Abrams in shows such as “Alias” — back to the Peacock. NBC is presenting its fall programming for the 2009-10 season to advertisers Monday, and confirmed that other shows including “Heroes” will be back for a fourth season. What hasn’t been confirmed as returning are two other genre-related shows, “Medium” and “Chuck,” although The Hollywood Reporter says “Medium” …
