Battlestar’s ‘Boomer,’ more babes due on Human Target

Fox's Human Target returns with new episodes tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and star Mark Valley revealed upcoming guest stars, big action scenes and a little more backstory about his mysterious character.

Valley plays Christopher Chance, a private bodyguard whose clients count on him to handle extreme situations. He's already parachuted out of a bullet train, flipped a plane upside down, jumped motorcycles, fought bad guys and done the sort of hero stuff usually reserved for big-budget movies.

Katee Sackhoff's character in Fox's upcoming eighth season of 24 is no Starbuck a la Battlestar Galactica: As computer analyst Dana Walsh, she does not kick any butts (at least not in the four episodes we've screened so far), and early viewers are shocked to see Sackhoff play a passive, even fearful character. (More spoilers follow!)

"It's interesting," Sackhoff said in a group interview Monday in Pasadena, Calif., as part of the Television Critics Association winter press tour. "I think that I do that well, and I think that's why they want to see me do that. It's hard not to. It really is. It's hard to sit back and play a computer analyst. It's as hard for me to play that as it is for people to watch it. I hope one of these days that I do the latter just as well and that people buy me in both scenarios."

Last time I wrote about Battlestar Galactica: The Plan word was Syfy were intending to air the movie in November. Apparently that’s not the case as Syfy are now intending to air it sometime in 2010.

Two days ago it was reported that Bryan Singer (X-Men / Superman Returns) was in negotiations to direct a Battlestar Galactica feature film.

The Battlestar Galactica season 4.5 DVD includes 13 hours of extra’s such as behind-the-scenes footage, featurettes, audio commentaries by producers Ronald D. Moore and David Eick, and three extended episodes that never aired on television.

Here’s one of those goodies – a deleted scene featuring Roslin, Baltar, use of the “frak” word and a glimpse of some green screen.
