With enemies on all sides Cersei looks for new allies in the battles to come, while Samwell seeks to gain access to the secrets of the maesters inside the Citadel. Jon and Sansa disagree about how to reunite the North, and Daenerys arrives at the Targaryen ancestral home of Dragonstone.

Daenerys rallies her allies for a daring campaign across Westeros, leaving Jon Snow uncertain of whether to answer her summons. Sam sets his mind to trying to cure Ser Jorah of greyscale, and Arya receives news that could change her course. Meanwhile, Euron Greyjoy seeks to secure a prize for Cersei.

Daenerys receives a visit from Jon Snow but the two clash over differing objectives. Cersei receives a gift from Euron Greyjoy, offering her a chance at vengeance. As the Unsullied reach Casterly Rock, Jaime turns his attention to Lady Olenna.

Daenerys weighs what to do next after learning of Euron Greyjoy's attack, as John continues to try and sway her to his cause. Arya comes home and sees how much her family has changed. Jaime and Bronn lead the Lannister army home from High Garden, but are attacked en route.

Jaime returns to King's Landing with the cold reality of what the war against Daenerys will bring, while Sam makes a decision about his future as a maester. While Dany sends an envoy to the capital to propose a temporary armistice, Jon Snow travels back to the Wall on a quest to prove the existence of White Walkers. At Winterfell, Arya acts on her suspicions of Littlefinger.

Jon Snow leads a ragtag team north of the wall in hopes of bringing back proof of the threat that the dead pose to the Seven Kingdoms -- but the group soon finds itself besieged by the Night King. In Winterfell, Littlefinger continues to press tensions between Sansa and Arya.

Daenerys and her allies arrive in King's Landing for a tense negotiation with Cersei, hoping to convince her of their common threat in the north. Sansa passes judgment in Winterfell, while at Dragonstone Theon stands up for his sister. Elsewhere, Eastwatch comes under attack.
