Matt recuperates from a near-death experience with the nuns who helped to raise him, but his body is not the only thing that needs mending. In prison, Wilson Fisk looks for an opportunity to help Vanessa.

As Daredevil targets the criminals behind a failed kidnapping, Karen hears a story that gives her hope about Matt. To help his fledgling career, F.B.I. Agent Nadeem makes a play to be appointed Wilson Fisk's handler.

After Fisk's new arrangement with the F.B.I. is revealed to the world, Matt infiltrates the hotel where he is staying. Meanwhile Foggy and Karen try to build a case against Fisk in their own ways.

Matt goes inside the prison to acquire intel on Fisk's betrayal of the Albanian mob, and quickly finds himself in over his head. Foggy makes a big decision to try to stay ahead of Fisk, and Agent Poindexter realizes he is being investigated.

Fisk turns the F.B.I. onto the trail of Matt Murdock, putting his friends under the microscope -- while Fisk takes a trip through Agent Poindexter's disturbing past. Meanwhile Dex has an encounter with a woman from his past.

Karen balks when Matt shows up asking for her help in exposing Fisk's way out of prison, leading her to a high-value witness willing to tell all. Meanwhile Dex finds himself pushed closer to Fisk and his agenda.

After a massacre at the New York Bulletin Daredevil is public enemy number one, and Agent Nadeem presses to learn the truth about Karen's secret witness. While Matt pays a visit to the man who made his enemy's suit, Foggy makes a discovery.

While Matt gets a lead on the man who has impersonated Daredevil, Dex tries to reconnect with a woman from his past. Foggy and Karen hatch a plan to put Fisk back behind bars, leading her to an uncomfortable confrontation.

Matt's relationship with Sister Maggie is thrown for a loop after he learns the truth about their history, and Karen goes on the run. Nadeem finds himself under Fisk's heavy hand.

Now targeted by Fisk at the height of his power, Karen recalls her troubled youth. Matt must make a critical decision when he learns that Karen's location has been exposed.

Matt and Karen go into hiding from the FBI, as Agent Nadeem reluctantly leads a manhunt after the church attack. Foggy is pressured to fall in line with Fisk's agenda, and Fisk tries to recover a beloved possession.

Matt and Foggy hatch a plan to go after Fisk, using Nadeem as a star witness against him. Fisk is reunited with Vanessa, but struggles to get reacquainted.

With Matt determined to infiltrate Fisk's stronghold and kill him, Foggy tries to prevent his friend from making a mistake he won't be able to come back from. A surprise meeting at the F.B.I. reveals a confession left behind by Ray Nadeem, while Dex receives some disturbing news of his own.
