New Los Angeles division chief Sousa catches a bizarre case with a victim trapped in ice and Peggy Carter moves to California to help the investigation, leading to an energy research lab and a wealthy industrialist. Back in New York, Jack Thompson and the S.S.R. try to interrogate Dottie Underwood.

Peggy tries to secure an informant inside Isodyne Energy, while a secret cabal closes the books on the company's research into Zero Matter -- forcing Calvin Chadwick and Whitney Frost to adjust their plans for the future.

Peggy's investigation of Zero Matter leads her to a private club for wealthy men, prompting her to turn to Howard Stark for help getting inside. Jack's arrival in L.A. threatens to derail her work, and Whitney Frost worries that her secret is going to be exposed.

Peggy and Jarvis go after the man who recently attacked her, hoping to gain intel on the Arena Club and its members. Meanwhile, Whitney conducts a series of experiments to learn more about her strange condition.

After acquiring more Zero Matter Whitney determines to set off a nuclear explosion, and Peggy assembles a ragtag group to infiltrate a fortified Roxxon facility to head her off.

Peggy realizes that she needs help to retrieve a sample of Zero Matter to try and save Wilkes, and recruits her adversary Dottie Underwood for an undercover operation. Meanwhile Whitney prepares for a meeting with the Council, which does not go according to plan.

Peggy and her friends work desperately to complete Wilkes' machine and bring him back into the material world. Elsewhere Vernon Masters tries to interrogate Ms. Underwood, and Peggy plans a rescue mission.

Peggy and Sousa offer Whitney Frost the uranium rods in a ploy to rescue Wilkes, but the trade does not go as planned. Howard Stark sends a gift that might help eliminate Zero Matter, and Mr. Jarvis determines to take revenge on Whitney.

Jarvis and Peggy clash while escaping from Whitney, while Jack attempts to save Sousa and Dr. Samberly's lives by getting back on Vernon Masters' good side. Dr. Wilkes' trip into the Zero Matter rift leaves him changed, and Whitney determines to take what he has by any means necessary.

The Season 2 finale finds everyone facing a mission they may not come back from as Peggy urges Howard Stark to eliminate Zero Matter. (ABC)
