Two DVD Volumes for ‘Stargate Universe’ Season One

Looks like the DVD release for the first season of Stargate Universe will occur in two separate volumes.

“Stargate Universe has been tons of fun so far in the first half,” DVD Special Features Producer Ivon Bartok told GateWorld. “And this year what we’re doing is a little bit different. As far as I know, we’re going to be doing volume one and two DVDs.”

‘The Black Hole’ Short Film

Here’s a short film well worth a watch.  It’s titled The Black Hole and was one of the films entered in the Cannes Short Film Corner earlier this year by UK based filmmakers Philip Sansom & Olly Williams, collectively known as Diamond Dugs. In the film, a sleep deprived office worker somehow photocopies a Black Hole late one night, and begins to use his discovery in creative ways that could spell trouble.

Unconfirmed sources say Stargate Universe will be the first season of the franchise to arrive in two half-season boxes.

Unprecedented ’2012′ TV Ad Campaign

Sony Pictures are about to run a television campaign to promote Roland Emmerich’s 2012 that will rake in an audience four times larger than the Super Bowl.

The plan is to air a two minute scene from 2012 on virtually every major TV and Cable network in North America.  By doing so the studio expects to reach 110 million viewers.
