At this years San Diego Comic-Con Quint from Aint it Cool News managed to score a 30 minute interview with Terry Gilliam (The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus / Twelve Monkeys).

During the interview Terry Gilliam offered up his thoughts on how he felt about Zack Snyder’s Watchmen. It’s an interesting read, mostly because at one time Gilliam was trying to turn the so-called un-filmable graphic novel into a film himself.

Disney to acquire Marvel in $4 billion deal

Walt Disney Co. is about to acquire ownership of Marvel Entertainment in a deal worth $4 billion.

J.J. Abrams’ big-screen reboot of the Star Trek franchise grabbed the most nominations of any sci-fi, fantasy or horror project this year as the Scream Awards finalists were announced, with nods in 17 categories.

The blockbuster film was recognized not only for Best Science Fiction Movie, Best Director (J.J. Abrams) and both Best Breakout Performance: Female and Best Science Fiction Actress (Zoe Saldana), but also in such categories as the Fight to the Death Scene of the Year (for Kirk vs. Spock), and the Holy S–t! Scene of the Year (for the space dive onto orbital drill).
