With an episode titled “Doomsday” it is hard not to have high hopes for “Smallville’s” eighth season finale. From the opening episode of the season, the show has gone to move beyond the departure of Lex Luthor and plow towards an epic smack down between the Man-of-Steel and his Kryptonian nemesis, Doomsday.

I totally agree. Doomsday was a serious let down. I was really looking forward to an all out fight, some real action packed Superman style action, but we didn’t get it. What happened!?!
The ending of the episode is a bit of a mystery to me too. Just what does season 9 have in store? Whatever it is, I hope they do some proper action bits and don’t let us fans down. Doomsday was seriously wasted and it was a real shame.
