Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly has such high hopes for one of 2008-09′s few returning freshman dramas that he’s convinced it can compete with the likes of ‘Grey’s Anatomy” and “CSI.” “The door is more open on this night then it has been in a long time,” Reilly said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “‘Fringe’ is a real alternative to both.” Some fans may not agree. Even with “CSI” on CBS struggling since the departure of William Petersen and some downward slide from “Grey’s Anatomy” on ABC, both shows still drew larger audiences than “Fringe” did this past season, even when the J.J.
