The residents of Vulcan, Alberta, may have actor Leonard Nimoy to thank for their special sneak preview screening of “Star Trek XI” in nearby Calgary, but when they arrive to see the latest J.J. Abrams film, they will have a chance to celebrate another actor from the show. Bruce Greenwood, who plays Capt. Christopher Pike in the movie, will meet with 300 randomly selected residents of Vulcan who are attending the premiere next week. “With Bruce Greenwood adding some Hollywood glamor to Vulcan’s special advance screening of ‘Star Trek,’ we feel very honored by all that Paramount Pictures is arranging for us,” said Dayna Dickens, the tourism coordinator for Vulcan, in a release.
