TNG Cast Boosts ‘Family Guy’ Ratings

Fox got great returns in reuniting the cast of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” in Sunday’s episode of the animated comedy “Family Guy.” Ratings for the episode, which also included Meg’s exploration of God and Kirk Cameron, drew 8.2 million viewers between the ages of 18 and 49, a key advertising demographic, according to TV Week. That’s up more than 14 percent from the week before, and was the highest rated episode of “Family Guy” since November. It was by far the highest-rated program in Fox’s Sunday animation block, beating out “The Simpsons” at 8 p.m. ET with 6.6 million viewers and “American Dad,” which followed at 9:30 p.m ET with just 6 million viewers in the demographic. The episode is said to be the first full cast reunion in more than 15 years when the series finale …

Jericho’s Ashley Scott goes 12 Rounds with us

<i>Jericho</i>'s Ashley Scott goes <i>12 Rounds</i> with us

Ashley Scott, co-star of the current action movie 12 Rounds, told SCI FI Wire that it doesn’t matter what kind of movies she makes as long as she can contribute something interesting to them. Scott also talked about the future of Jericho, the canceled post-apocalyptic CBS show in which she played Emily Sullivan opposite Skeet Ulrich’s Jake Green.

“As long as I know that I went in there and did the best job I could and respected and honored the character I was gifted with, I can walk away feeling fulfilled and very happy about the experience,” Scott said in an exclusive interview last week in Los Angeles. “I’m so new, still, and I’m learning something new every time I go on an audition or go do a job, whether it’s [for] Spielberg or Renny [Harlin] or whoever.”

In 12 Rounds, Scott plays Molly Porter, the wife of a detective (John Cena) who gets kidnapped by an ex-convict (Aidan Gillen), who blames him for the death of a loved one.

‘Heroes’ – Cold Snap

Why does Hiro have such a hard time with baby Matt Parkman? And why are “they” after the baby anyway? Who is Rebel? Will Peter ever forgive his mother? Will Matt and Daphne ever be reunited? Is Tracy Strauss capable of being a hero? These are all questions answered in this episode.

It always seems that the escapades of Hiro (Masi Oka) and Ando (James Kyson Lee) are the comic relief of Heroes, despite all the drama that fills Hiro’s life. Now that they are baby-sitting baby Matt Parkman Quin & Reed Baron), Ando teases him about his unease around the baby. Hiro is “cold father” and Ando is “warm mother.” But they still need to figure out why Rebel sent them there.

Then baby Matt Parkman turns on the TV … when it’s unplugged. He’s a “Baby Touch and Go” says Hiro.

‘Dollhouse’ – Man On The Street

Wow. I liked this episode enough to watch it twice! There was sweetness, action, humor and a few mysteries unraveled and spun.

At the opening and after each commercial break, we are treated to “man on the street” interviews of people sharing their opinions on the urban legend of the Dollhouse. Some think it’s cool. Others, an abomination. One interview, with a college professor, suggested that the human race would cease to exist if the legend were true.

Sweetness: Internet mogul, Joel Mynor (Patton Oswalt) hires the Dollhouse each year to re-live a moment he was never able to live in reality — showing his wife of seven years that his business had made good. She was killed a horrible car accident just blocks from the house he was about to show her.

Action: Paul Ballard (Tahmoh Penikett) …

Michael Hinman Spills Secrets On Spoilers

Just two months ago, Airlock Alpha — then known as SyFy Portal — ended its spoiler news coverage after more than a decade of finding success with that model. Spoilers have always been controversial, both with the fans and with the people who make the great television shows sites like Airlock Alpha covers, but has always been a necessary way for some sites to stand above others in a very crowded science-fiction news world. Michael Hinman, the founder of Airlock Alpha, recently dished on some of the secrets of good spoiler coverage, leaving the industry with a 92 percent spoiler accuracy rate over a 10-year period, to give readers at CliqueClack a bit of insight into how spoilers are done. “With competition like TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly making more money on a bad day than I would …

‘Torchwood’ Haunting Debunked

We always knew there was something a little bit crazy around the Millennium Centre in Cardiff, Wales, but who knew that it might be true? In the universe of “Doctor Who” and “Torchwood,” a huge rift is present where back in the 19th century, some ghoulish figures seemed to have got through. But “Doctor Who” and “Torchwood” … that’s all fiction, right? The Telegraph stumbled over what it believes to be proof that not everything that goes bump in the night is the work of someone’s mind. In looking at street views through Google Earth, one spooky reporter found what they believed to be a ghost. The image appears to be a woman wearing a period outfit from the 19th century. And if there needed to be more proof that she is not a real person, just look below her knees … there’s nothing …
