Its back to basics for NBC’s “Knight Rider.” In an effort to breathe new life into the show, the network decided that they needed to get back to what made the original Knight Rider series work: the idea that one man could make a difference. Well, one man and his car. That’s not new … but it’s still debatable on if NBC is going to even give the show a chance. Though the show was just picked up for a full 22-episode season in October, it only took until November for NBC to see that the show wasnt working out as well as expected. Come December, the show was reduced to 17 episodes. Showrunner Gary Scott Thompson told SFX Red Alert about the changes that have been made to the show.
