The following contains MAJOR SPOILERS for “Alpine Fields,” an episode of Fox’s “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.” Derek rushes into a building and sees a girl taking care of a pregnant woman. She pulls a gun on Derek, but he tells her Sarah sent him. The woman, her mother Anne, has been shot through her left shoulder by a Terminator, and her lung has collapsed. She’s about to give birth. Lauren, the girl, tells Derek she’s the reason the Terminator found them, but Derek knows better. Turns out the woman, who was married, did the calling to her lover Roger. Her mother finally delivers her baby, who Derek recognizes to be Sydney, a girl he knows from the future. During childbirth, the mother dies.
