In case no one noticed Wednesday night, but the remake of “Knight Rider” premiered. And it might not be on for long. NBC’s second attempt at a cult icon remake fizzled out of the gate as “Knight Rider” earned a 4.5 rating/7 share, according to Fast National ratings from Nielsen Media Research. That was good enough for a third place finish behind “Dancing with the Stars” on ABC and “Bones” on Fox. It did, however, beat out the premieres of comedies on CBS as well as “American’s Next Top Model” on The CW. What does this mean for “Knight Rider’s” future? Not very bright, apparently.
