Review: ‘Sarah Connor’ – Allison From Palmdale

The following contains MAJOR SPOILERS for the “Allison From Palmdale” episode of Fox’s “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.” With rumors flying that “Sarah Connor” might be cancelled soon, I hope this isn’t my last review of this show. Last year had a lot more action, but I don’t think this season has been as bad as some have said. Yes, it’s been more oriented to drama, but I think variety is a good thing in a genre show. I love watching Cameron grind another Terminator’s head into the dust, but every time? This week, we get more drama and some action. Summer Glau gets to play two roles, Cameron the Terminator and Allison Young the human. I think she does a good job of changing characters, good enough for me to be able to follow what was going on. It sure seems that Cameron …

Fox Close To Terminating ‘Sarah Connor’

With ratings far below even the network’s worst predictions, Fox could pull the plug on production for “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” as early as this week. The network has been disappointed by “Sarah Connor’s” numbers so far this season, and some executives feel that the show is dragging down numbers for “Prison Break,” which airs as a lead-out. “Audiences just aren’t responding to the show,” a Fox source tells SyFy Portal. “Our biggest surprise are the 18-to-49s [a key advertising demographic], those numbers are in the toilet.” This would be bad news for “Sarah Connor,” which had a strong first season despite airing just nine episodes in light of the Writers Guild of America strike. The show debuted at mid-season with an 11.1 rating/16 share — the highest premiere …

Unexpected Twists, Turns Drive ‘Supernatual’ This Season

“Supernatural” fans are in for quite a ride as the popular series kicks off its fourth season Sept. 18. Actor Jim Beaver, who plays Bobby Singer, said viewers should brace themselves for even more of the unexpected. In an exclusive interview with Rabid Doll, Beaver said fans can count on “twists that folks aren’t going to be expecting at all.” Although Beaver wouldn’t elaborate too much on this season’s plotlines, he did spill the beans on one surprise that even caught him off guard. “I get to drive the Impala,” he said. “I was shocked when I saw that scene coming up!” Beaver said there’s no doubt Dean, played by Jensen Ackles, will be upset, but he’s certain forgiveness will be forthcoming. “I think Dean will forgive Bobby, because it was in the process of saving Dean’s life.” Still, the car …

‘Heroes,’ ‘Sarah Connor’ Searching For Lost Viewers

Something happened on the way to the 2008-09 television season: Viewers decided they had better things to do. Television network viewership is down overall, and some higher-profile genre shows like “Heroes” on NBC and “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” on Fox, are really starting to feel the pinch. “Heroes” slid to a 5.7 rating/8 share, according to Fast National ratings from Nielsen Media Research. That was down more than 3 percent from the 5.9 average the show received in its two-hour premiere, and is pushing the bottom of its ratings lower and lower each week. While it was nearly 43 percent more than its lead-in of “Chuck,” “Heroes” finished behind comedies on CBS as well as reality television on ABC. While ratings for “Heroes” might be slipping, it’s not nearly as bad …
