Shirley Manson, lead singer of the musical group Garbage, has been tapped to play a corporate CEO in the next season of Fox's "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," according to The Hollywood Reporter. She'll portray Catherine Weaver, head of a high-tech company who's very likely to be another foe to the show's heroes as they attempt to fight the future of machine domination of humanity. The role will be the singer's first big acting gig. Songs she's voiced include "Stupid Girl" and "Only Happy When It Rains." "Sarah Connor" will have a 13-episode commitment when it returns to Monday nights in the new season on Fox as one of the few new genre shows to make the cut and receive a sophomore season.
